According to Business Week: "Passenger-car sales climbed 4.5% in April, but sales of light trucks fell 7.2%, the worst drop since 1999". This is good for a number of reasons, and at least two affect me personally.
As long as Big Auto is run by the unions (that love democrats, that love green stuff that hurts auto manufacturers), the auto companies will never get ahead. By running lots of losses, they have lots of leverage with the unions. "Hey buddy, it's either this or we shut down your plant!" I like it.
And the other reason I like it is that truck prices will stay low. Mine's still kinda new, so I don't need one right away. But in the next 3-5 years I may trade it in.
