Previously I had spoken harshly about the Tories. I stand by my statements, the Conservatives in the UK are about as conservative as the mainstream Democrat party in the US.
However, they are the farthest to the right of any main party in the UK. From Telegraph, Boris Johnson will be the new mayor.
I guess this is a step in the right direction. I do like his honesty, one redeeming quality I like about Bush:
Having approved for publication a Spectator piece that described Liverpool as a city "wallowing in victim status" after the murder of the British hostage Ken Bigley in Iraq, he dismissed Portsmouth as a city "full of drugs and obesity" and characterised the people of Papua New Guinea as "cannibals and chief-killers".
